Sugar and spice pecans

From Recipezaar, via Gluten-Free Bay

These are addictive, and make a great gift. Make sure you save some for yourself.

50 min 5 min prep

- 1 lb pecan halves
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg white
- 1 tbsp water

1. Beat the egg white and water until frothy but not stiff.
2. Stir in the sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
3. Add the pecans and stir well until the pecans are completely coated.
4. Spread the nuts on a large baking sheet and bake at 200 degree Fahrenheit for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
5. Remove them from the oven when dry and toasted.
6. When cool, store in an airtight container.
